How do i get the best time on a Concept 2 Rowing machine?

I’ve been doing some rowing on the Concept 2 rowing machine, and my best so far is 8mins 15sec at level 10 (hardest). But most of the time, i find it hard to go faster than that time.

I wonder if there are any techniques so i could get the most out of my self.

What speed at the biggining - middle - end??

Different rowing motions/techniques?

Breathing??
